Adam Toon is a sommelier based in Houston, Texas who discovered his passion for wine while working in restaurants in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas. In pursuit of higher-level wine education, he made the move to Houston where he worked for David Keck, MS at Camerata. He now currently works with Republic National Distributing Company as a part of a selected team that is well-versed on bringing restaurants and bars wines that are diverse, unique, and underserved in the market. Adam has won Our Lady of Guadalupe’s “Sommelier Smackdown”, competed in TEXSOM’s Best Sommelier competition, and was a regional competitor in the Chaine des Rotisseurs Young Sommelier Competition. One of Adam’s favorite aspects of the hospitality industry is sharing his enthusiasm for wine through education.
